The British Heart Foundation say that 39% of adults they interviewed prefer to buy unhealthy microwave meals because it is cheaper than buying fresh fruit and veg.
25% said they hadn’t bought any fresh fruit or veg in the last week!

The British Heart Foundation suggest
- buy canned or frozen fruit and vegetables if buying fresh food is too expensive.
- eat less meat (meat is expensive) and use the money you save to buy more fresh fruit and veg.
