When a person has a serious fear of social situations, and regularly suffers from stress or panic attacks when they go out or think about going out, they have what is called a social phobia.
New research has found that the best way to treat social anxiety/phobia is to talk about it with a therapist through a treatment called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This is more effective than taking tablets.
SignHealth provide CBT in BSL, to support Deaf people. Please email for more information, or click on any of the videos below to watch BSL clips.
