When a person has a serious fear of social situations, and regularly suffers from stress or panic attacks when they go out or think about going out, they have what is called a social phobia.
New research has found that the best way to treat social anxiety/phobia is to talk about it with a therapist through a treatment called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This is more effective than taking tablets.
SignHealth provide CBT in BSL, to support Deaf people. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, or click on any of the videos below to watch BSL clips.
