Think you might benefit from seeing a BSL Healthy Minds therapist?
1. Visit your GP
Visit your doctor and tell them how you’ve been feeling. Be as honest as you can. Remember your doctor is there to help.
It’s possible your doctor won’t know about BSL Healthy Minds or they might want to refer you for counselling with a hearing therapist and an interpreter. This works for some people but research shows that Deaf-to-Deaf therapy is much more successful.
If your doctor is not sure about referring you, please ask them to get in touch with us via email or telephone. Or direct them to this website where they can fill in the online referral form.
2. Refer yourself
Sometimes making an appointment with your doctor, and arranging for an interpreter to be there, can be difficult. To make the process easier, you can refer yourself for therapy by filling in the online referral form below.
After you’ve completed the form, we will contact your GP on your behalf. This is because your GP will need to give us permission to apply for funding from your local CCG, to pay for your therapy.
