Deaf people are twice as likely to experience mental health problems such as depression and anxiety compared to hearing people. Communication barriers then make it harder for Deaf people to access the right support.
SignHealth’s psychological therapy service breaks down those barriers. Our service is delivered in British Sign Language (BSL). All our therapists are Deaf or hearing and fluent in BSL, cutting out the need for an interpreter.
Where we work
Our Psychological Therapies service is available in England and in some areas of Wales. We cannot provide therapy in Scotland or Northern Ireland as we cannot access funding in these areas, this is why clients from these areas have been declined in the past.
