Our Deaf-led workshops deliver key messages about domestic abuse to deaf children and young people across South East England. We work in specialist residential schools for deaf children, Hearing Impaired Units attached to mainstream schools, and with deaf youth groups.
Workshops are tailored to each group, and aim to prevent deaf children and young people copying abusive behaviour. They include sessions on healthy relationships, coping with bullying and staying safe.
Some children need individual sessions, so that they receive the right support and develop the skills and confidence to stay safe. We give advice on how to continue support after the workshops have ended.
