Research shows that if you are feeling low, talking about it can really help. At BSL Healthy Minds we offer different types of ‘talking therapy’.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: CBT focuses on the way you think and behave and will help you to make positive changes.
CBT is used for treating most mental health problems including depression, anxiety, OCD and phobia.
You will be offered an initial assessment and at that session you will be able to explain how you’re feeling. You will be asked to answer some questions that are on a video, in BSL, to help you and the therapist know how you are feeling and what areas you are dealing with better than others. Together with your therapist you will decide the best way forward for you.
Depending upon the outcome of the initial assessment you will either have further appointments with a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for CBT, or Counselling. Sometimes you might be referred on to another service, to offer you a different treatment that would be better for you at that time.
