If you are deaf and live in Greater Manchester we may be able to help you.
Our outreach service supports deaf adults with mental health illness.
We can assist with managing finances, developing self-care and daily living skills, maintaining relationships, integration into the community and access to healthcare.
We take referrals from GPs, local authorities and social workers. If you think you can benefit from our service, you can also contact us directly.

At present our team of six staff (3 Deaf and 3 hearing who all sign) offer outreach support 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. However this will change as we are working towards expanding SignHealth’s Greater Manchester outreach service. Our aim is to become CQC registered and deliver person centered care with flexible working hours which include weekend cover.
How to start your outreach support
After you or your care provider has got in contact we will send you a referral form. Please make sure it is completed, then we can organise a face-to-face assessment. Together we can work out a personal plan for the kind of support you need.
A member of our team will then begin supporting you in whatever way we’ve agreed. Over time, two or three members of staff will support you, one at a time.
The first step is to make contact and the details of how to do that are in the box further up the page.
