What is Roger? This video explains.
What is a Roger Pen? A new, wireless microphone that transmits sound directly to a listener. It helps people with hearing loss, from moderate to profound, to hear speech more clearly. It is effective for communicating in a loud place, a place with lots of speakers or when communicating over distance.
Is it compatible with hearing aids? Yes. The Roger Pen is compatible with almost all hearing aids and cochlear implants.
How does the Roger Pen work? First, charge the pen up. Next, attach the discrete Roger receivers to your hearing aids or cochlear implant. Finally, switch it on and it’s ready to use. Phonak have made a video to show how to use the Roger Pen. Look for the link ‘Getting Started with Roger Pen‘ at the right hand side of the page.
Where can the Roger Pen be used? Anywhere, including classrooms, bars and public spaces. Watch the Phonak video to see (at the bottom left of the screen).
Extras? It can be used for Bluetooth calling and for listening to TV.
