SignHealth is launching a new campaign calling for deaf people to have equal access to psychological therapies and counselling as hearing people.
Deaf people are twice as likely to experience mental health issues such as depression and anxiety compared to hearing people, yet it is much harder for them to get help.
For the last four years, SignHealth has been working with the NHS to try to make access to therapy easier for deaf people. But deaf people still struggle to get help.
Our new campaign will challenge the NHS to make access easier by sharing the experiences of deaf people and the impact lack of access has on their lives.
